Requirements

Sync clients run on Windows, macOS and Linux.

The Sync Appliance can be deployed directly on x86-64 Linux systems using Docker, or on other operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.) using Virtualbox/VMware Workstation Player/Hyper V virtualization with the official VM images.

Docker-based deployment has been tested on the following environments:

• Debian 8.3, 9
• Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, 14.04 LTS, 16.04 LTS, 18.04 LTS
• Centos 7

Hardware requirements

• x86-64 system
• min. 1 GB RAM (Docker deployment) or 1.5 GB (VM) - 2 GB recommended
• disk: at least 2 GB to support initial install, background install of new versions for smooth upgrades, and minimal operation. More space needed for user data and DB as files are added to the system. User data can be saved to external, S3-compatible storage with deduplication, automatic compression and encryption.
